Within your business you must first of all understand and deduce what objects pose a threat to your staff. This here might be objects blocking your emergency exits or ignition sources that may be found in your building. Once this has been identified you must consider whether or not you, the responsible party, are putting in the necessary precautions to prevent harm to your staff. The next step will require you to identify and put into place appropriate measures.

Start By:

	Identifying what can harm people in your work place.		Identify who might be harmed and how might they be.
	Evaluate the risks and decide the appropriate controls to prevent these risks		Recording your fire risk assessment.
	Reviewing and updating your fire risk assessment.

There are many templates that can be used for you to follow when doing your own fire risk assessment, however this is not the only way to do a fire risk assessment.
